There exists a vast, grassy plane called the dragons nest. It's name refers to an array of roughly egg shaped monoliths, scattered all over it. Some are strangely smooth and covered in markings of some sort, while most of them show more "traditional" rock features like broken parts and cracks.
A small reptile like creature usually builds its burrows beneath the egg shaped monoliths. Why they prefer those to the other rocks is not yet known. These creatures have been very hard to study since they turn to flee beneath the ground as soon as they feel humanoids nearby. Strangely they have been rather curious about children and cats...
